We have gathered a list of activities, events, concerts, and restaurants that we feel would make great gifts this holiday season.  Some we have done ourselves and others we would like to try.  It doesn’t include everything but there is a nice variety to choose from and we hope you find something that may interest or inspire you to adventure.

Activities

• Rock Climbing – I am scared of heights and don’t think I have any desire to rock climb in the “real world.”  But I am may be willing to give this indoor climbing a try to help with the fear thing.
• Paintball  – It’s still around and there are some places to play it.  I haven’t ever played paintball, but I have played water guns in the clay pits of the chat dump. Another option.
• Footgolf – Football/ Soccer and Discgolf: This is a combination of both and there is someplace to play it in the St. Louis area.
• Obstacle Frenzy – If you are a fan of the obstacle course on Survivor then you may want to try this out.
• Go Ape – Another option to overcome the heights anxiety that includes zip lining in Creve Couer.
• Trapeze – Go flying through the air in Chesterfield.
• Axe Throwing Lessons – This may be for the person who has absolutely everything.
• Seal Shooting Experience – Did you know that there is a tactical training experience right here is St. Francois County?
• SCUBA Training – At some point I would like to try SCUBA diving.  This would be a nice chance to try it out first.
• Skydiving – I have no desire to do this but I know there are plenty of people who do.
• Introductory Flight Lesson – For those who have an interest in flying.
• Helicopter Tours – A variety of options in the STL Area
• Paragliding – A short intro lesson
• Biplane Rides – Fly an Authentic Warbird
• Guided Fish or Hunt – Read about our experience here.
• YMCA in Potosi – Offers a variety of activities and choices.

Theater and Concerts

• Movie Deal – Discounted Movie Tickets and Popcorn
• Bissell Mansion – Dining and Theater
• Lemp Mansion – An overnight stay
• Notable Concerts – Eagles; Pink; U2; Shania Twain; Alabama; Lil Wayne
• Events:  Monster Jam; Tim Allen; Hamilton; The Price is Right

Food Themed

• Kitchen Conservatory – At some point I am going to sign up and take some knife lessons.
• Food Tour – This would be a great good for the Foodies and something I hope to do someday.
• Cooking Classes at Eckert’s – They host a variety of class all year long.
• L’Ecole Culinaire – They offer gift certificates for public cooking classes.
• Dierbergs Cooking Class – Several stores offer cooking classes.
• Distillery Tours: Stumpy’s; St. Louis Distillery; Mastermind Vodka; StarLight Distillery; Earthbound Brewery
• Trying Something a Little Different: German Restaurant, Upscale Comfort, Four Course Dinner, Russian Cuisine, Jamaican Cuisine, Indian Grill, Feasting Fox
